Awards

November 15, 2012 HBAM (Home Builders Association of Maryland) just announced its “Remodeler Award of Excellence – Whole House $350,000-$550,000” for our project. This award is in recognition of “Excellence in Design and Construction”. It was also a shining example of our Owner Assisted Design/Build services. We dealt with the space planning and construction and finishing details, the owners designed the bathrooms, additional bedrooms and the kitchen layout. The result is an Award-Winning collaboration.

Extreme Home Makeover (Baltimore Edition)!

We spent a full day in the sizzling 95+ degree heat to help with the project. Some even went back a second day. Being built was a 3-story, 10,000+ SFT home for girls. Our crew volunteered to serve as skilled volunteers to install trim and cabinetry. Doug worked with the crew and coordinated various project aspects. Our office manager worked as an "unskilled" volunteer.

There were about 100 - 150 volunteers on any shift, both skilled and unskilled. While the skilled volunteers actually built the house, the unskilled volunteers moved materials, cleaned up, kept water and sodas constantly supplied to workers, etc.

About the 3rd day of the build schedule everything was blown out of the water....literally....after 2 days of torrential rains in the area. There was mud everywhere and water had to be removed from areas, but the build then went on. When complete it was beautiful.
